Well Looks like dear old Dad was in the original Pixel crew, you'd think with LV20+ WBL that shelling out a couple thousand G on a solid stable means of supporting your kids would be a good investment before going off in your 10M+ armor to fight the lord of Evil.

Technically, level 20 isn't even 1m. 10m gp armor isn't feasible until after level 50.

I only mention this because I care about numbers... a lot.

That said, they could very easily leave behind a few thousand and have rich kids, if the children are responsible at all.

If 3.5 Epic level rules were being used at the time there was a 20X price hike between epic and non epic items as well as the expected WBL between 20th and 21st The cheapest Epic enchanted armor (+11 equivilent) would have a base market price of 2.42M a 10M suit of armor would be approximately a +20 equivalent and affordable by lv 26, not incredibly out of the realm of imagination of a party going after gods

What a nice guy. I see no way this could end badly.

And then everybody caught dire aids, and they had to go to the kingdom of Canada for a cure.

heh that reminds me of the time my dm decided another player had been infected with dire crabs after drinking a random vial of blood found in an abandoned resident evil themed lab. in the players defense he was a vampire, but still abandoned genetics lab why would you drink anything found there?

I get that they would circumvent disease and poison immumities, but how does one even get crabs from a vial of blood? Did he get the crustacean variant in his bloodstream?

dm ruled that a parasite infection could survive on undead flesh. at least for a while. also in the setting vampirisim was originally created and released as a bio-weapon. so this lab was working on anti undead viruses before the inevitable accident and abandonment.
